A stable boy in Giovanni Sforza’s household, Paolo is instantly impressed by Lucrezia and ends up having an affair with her. After Lucrezia leaves Pesaro for good, Paolo goes to Rome in hopes of seeing her and their child. But Juan is not happy about his sister’s relationship with a peasant.
